Optosplitter SPECIFICATIONS   Description The Optosplitter is an optically-isolated amplified splitter that allows the addition of four branches to a DMX data link. The amplification it provides allows a DMX link to be extended over the maximum length specified by the DMX-512 standard. Each branch is managed as an independent DMX data link and optical isolation ensures that a failure on one branch will have no effect on the other branches. Up to 32 fixtures can be attached to each branch. Several splitter amplifiers can be used on the same link if additional branches are required. Connections The device shall provide a single DMX input, a single un-amplified DMX output, and 4 amplified and optically isolated DMX output connections. The device shall support DMX data links that comply with electrical standard EIA-485, using shielded twisted pair cables with a gauge of 22 or 24 AWG, and an impedance of 120 ohms. Performance The device shall support up to 32 fixtures on each of four amplified and optically isolated DMX branches.
